Dear Ray School Families,

For our spotlight this week, we are highlighting our fourth grade's outdoor classroom. During the first few months of school, the fourth-grade classes go down to Camp Brook, a small brook behind the Ray School. In the Camp Brook outdoor classroom, fourth graders are using the scientific method and power of observation to conduct their animal inquiry. Students have spent some of their time looking under rocks for crayfish and some saw a few juvenile brook trout snacking on various food sources in the brook. During these events, students are recording what they are observing in their journals. What a great opportunity for students to be able to see and interact with nature a few yards from their classrooms!

Ray Cafe Update

Salad Bar will be served on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week.

The Hanover School Board is seeking a Hanover resident volunteer to join the Plenary Committee. Those interested are encouraged to send a letter detailing their interest and qualifications to Hanover Board chair Kelly McConnell (kelly.mcconnell@hnsb.org) by September 26th.
