Dear Ray School Families,
Here are a few photos from our week!
Learning Buddy Fall Graphing Activity Animal Inquiry in 4th grade
Remember to set your clocks back on Sunday for Daylight Savings! We asked our kindergartener and first graders to help us create a public service announcement to help remind you to set your clocks back this weekend so that everybody is on time to school on Monday.
Please note that on your calendars that 11/16 will be the final normal Singalong until we return from holiday break in January. Our music teachers will be using Singalong time to prepare for holiday concerts! Parents are invited to the Holiday Singalong Concert on 12/21. Thank you for understanding!
Holiday Concert Schedule
12/14 - 2nd/3rd Choral Concert @ 10:30-11:30
12/15 - Informal Band Concert @ 12:00
12/16 - 4th/5th Choral concert @ 10:30-11:30
12/21 - K/1 Holiday Sing Along @ 8:30
Now that our school year has been in full swing and we are beginning to wrap up the first term of school, please remember that that start of school is 8:00am. Students who arrive after 8:00am are marked tardy. Handing out a large number of tardy passes in the office and collecting/processing tardies in the classroom is disruptive to morning routines. We appreciate your efforts to have your children at school on time and ready to learn each morning. It is imperative that students are arriving on time, feeling relaxed and prepared to begin their day. Over the last couple of weeks, we have noted a large increase in tardies. While we understand that there will be unanticipated things that lead to occasional tardies, let's work together to ensure our students are set up for the best day possible! Thank you for your help with this!
Hanover High School's Helping Haiti Club
Several Hanover High School students came to our Wednesday staff meeting to make a presentation about their Helping Haiti Club. Please see the article here to read about their work! Staff was excited at the potential for Ray students to collaborate with Hanover High School students in supporting this great cause. Some of our kindergarteners and first graders have already started creating artwork to be displayed in the Haitian schools!
LifeTouch will be back on Tuesday, November 8th for picture re-takes. If you want your child(ren) to have pictures re-taken, please make sure to send back the original set of photos you received.
Remember to see the link below to purchase Ray School spirit wear and support the PTO!
Enjoy the weekend,
Kevin and Lauren
