Dear Families,

We hope you had a wonderful week. Please see the notes below about this week's events and the end of the school year.

Grades 3-5 Spring Choral Concert
We hope that families will join us tonight from 6:00pm-7:00pm for our spring choral concert. Students should arrive no earlier than 5:45pm and meet in the music room while families find a seat in the gym.

Art Room News and Monday Spirit Day
For the past three years, the art department has brought a local author/illustrator to the Ray School for all students. This year, our guest author/illustrator is Lita Judge. The students have been listening to her books and creating artwork based on her themes. We are very excited for her visit! Here is a link to her site if you would like more information. To show our Ray School spirit to this guest, we invite students to wear Hawaiian clothing or Ray School t-shirts on Monday.

Send-Off Parking
We anticipate many visitors on Thursday, June 22nd in the morning due to the 5th Grade Send Off and other classroom events.  Please carpool if possible and plan to arrive early to allow time to find a parking spot.  Please be respectful of the Dartmouth College Child Care Center staff and families as well as the surrounding communities when parking.

We need to ensure that there is adequate space for emergency vehicles to enter and exit the property if needed. Please only park on ONE side of the driveway, drop off loop, and bus loop. This is extremely important for the safety of our students and school.

Ray School Zen Garden
Mr. Crawford's third grade class, along with their parents and siblings, spent the better part of Saturday morning transforming an empty area next to the school into a beautiful Japanese Zen garden. Students in the 3rd grade study the culture of Japan and it is fitting that the Ray School have one to share with its community. Please stop by, sit on the bench and enjoy the peace and serenity that this garden provides.

Spanish Fashion Show
Our fifth graders demonstrated their Spanish skills by describing clothing and colors during the Spanish Fashion show. The language skills were impressive and outfits were quite unique.
