Dear Parents,

We received more than 135 responses to our annual Family Survey and are analyzing the feedback you provided. At this week’s Board meeting, I shared a summary with the Hanover School Board and Superintendent Badams. The summary is available on the Hanover School Board website as a public document for your review. Ray staff will review the results and feedback to inform next year’s annual building goals.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts as we plan for next year.

Last Day of School

The last day of school is Wednesday, June 20th with a noon dismissal.  We will be offering bag lunches for students who would like to purchase lunch at school.

“Alice, an Adventure in Wonderland”

Richmond Middle School’s spring play is based on the beloved classic by Lewis Carroll. The play follows Alice, a curious young girl who finds herself in a strange new land where she can't seem to remember who she is.  Alice meets many interesting characters along her adventure. The final showing is tonight, Friday, May 18, in the RMS Auditorium.

Visit from King George

Mrs. Vashel’s second grade class had a visit from King George this week. He closed Boston Harbor and told the colonists that they would be required to pay England for the tea dumped into the harbor. This news was met with shock by the colonists. They don't know how they will survive without the ability to receive goods into the Boston Harbor. Hopefully other second grade colonies will send help. Thank you, Superintendent Badams, for visiting the Ray School disguised as King George.

Fifth Grade Watercolor Masterpieces Pick Up

As the school year comes to an end, artwork needs to be brought home.  The animal watercolors will be coming down and Mrs. Henry would prefer to see them go home safely with families if possible, rather than rolled up in backpacks.

Work by students in Mr. Clifford, Mrs. Roy, and Ms. Wilson's classes will be in the office for pick-up next week. Please stop by and get your child's masterpiece if you come by the school. Mr. Stone and Ms. Hareld's classes can bring their work home following the Medieval Village presentation on May 30th.
