Dear Ray School Families,

The signs of spring are all around us. This week brought us increasingly green trees, blooming flowers, and ample opportunities to be outside. Students and staff have taken advantage of the beautiful weather by visiting our vernal pool, walking and biking to school, working in outdoor classrooms, running the mile on the Ray School loop, and enjoying recess games.

As a reminder, the Ray School will be holding a lockdown drill at 10:00am on Monday. Teachers will be explaining lockdown procedures in a developmentally appropriate way. The Hanover Police Department will be on site to assist with the drill. Please note that the building will be locked during this drill with no one allowed to enter or exit the building. A sign will be placed on the front entrance to notify visitors that school is locked down. Once the sign is removed, the drill is over. Please feel free to contact me with with any questions.

Enjoy the weekend,

Lauren

Staff Appreciation Week

We had a great Staff Appreciation Week thanks to the SAU, School Board, PTO and the whole Ray School community. Some highlights included PTO flower day, a PTO sponsored luncheon, a special ice cream truck visit, and a staff brunch.
