Dear Ray School Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! We were all excited to have students back in the school this week. It has been a short week packed full of wonderful activities. We are highlighting our wonderful Ray Cafe this week. If you are ever wondering what is on the menu for the week, you can visit the website here. We all appreciate the hard work of our Ray Cafe staff in preparing a wide variety of of delicious meal options for our students each day.
A few reminders as we start the new year:
With the winter weather, please be sure your children are dressed warmly for morning, midday, and afternoon recesses. We recommend writing your children's names on the inside of clothing items. Misplaced items can be located outside the gym at the Lost and Found area. Unclaimed items are collected and donated at the end of each month.
We have noticed your effort to keep our parking lot crosswalks clear. Thank you for helping ensure that students, staff, and families can safely walk through the lot. Additionally, we appreciate your help in keeping our drop-off loop moving in the morning. Each day, we will help your children exit the car safely when you pull all the way through the loop. We ask that parents remain in the car and students exit from the right side of the car. If you need to help your child, please park in a marked spot in the lot.
Thank you to all community members and staff that were able to participate in our superintendent candidate visits. We had three finalists visit our school this week. For information about the candidates and the process, please visit the search committee website.
We encourage students and staff to wear PTO Ray Spirit-wear on Fridays. If your child does not own any Ray School clothing, students can also consider wearing flannel for Flannel Fridays during the month of January. Participation in these low key Spirit Days is optional.
